The conference explores exoticism in Venetian culture and opera and presents the results of the project L’esotico nell’opera veneziana del Sei e Settecento (Exoticism in Venetian Opera of the 17th and 18th Centuries), coordinated by Paola Dessì (University of Padua) and Camilla Cavicchi (CNRS-Centre d’études supérieures de la Renaissance) and developed as part of the PNRR project Music theater and new technologies.
