Plastic waste in the oceans of the world, the survival of many species and pollution, the themes at our Center center of International Conference to be held in Venice, from 13th to 15th October 2015.

Millions of tons of plastic waste are dumped every year in the seas of the world, endangering many marine species and undermining the environmental integrity of the seas, as well as being a problem for the same human health.

That the scenario presented by the research activities of the IPA-Adriatic DeFishGear project, developed long coastlines on the Adriatic Sea.

Here are the topics that will be covered:

• management and legislation

• environmental and socio-economic impacts

• monitoring and evaluation

• micro plastics

• ghost nets

• prevention strategies
